Celebrate America Day!

My Dad and I
We had a great 4th of July with family and friends.  I feel thankful for the country we live in and for the people in my life that I get to spend fun times with. Fourth of July has always been a time to make memories. I remember being a little girl in Iowa and watching the fireworks with my best friend on her birthday as they fell down on us from high up above. Then as a teenager in Alabama, we  volunteered with the local 'I Love America Day'. My friends and I helped run booths and we just had a great time together. And now making memories with our boys and seeing the joy and excitement as they watch fireworks, I love it!

My Mom and her awesome fruit kabob flag.

The cousins hanging out ready to eat.

Our boys with more cousins eating lunch.

Ready for some fireworks!

Our friends Mike and LeighAnn and their boys watched the fireworks with us.

My sister Deborah and her family came too.

It was a fun night!

Family Reunion Time!

Oh the fun and excitement it is to be with family. Brandt says that family reunions are his favorite family tradition.  We have a pretty cool family! We have them every other year with Rheanna's family and we go somewhere for a few days all together.  This year we went to a beautiful lake house.  We all had a great time with all of the activities there was to do!

 Air Hockey Extraordinaire!

 Trampoline Jump Masters!

 Lake Swimmer Experts!

 Jet Ski Explorers!

 In a word: WHOOOO!

 Super Crafty Ladies!

3 in a little Canoe!

Catfish fishermen!

Fishing off the dock!

All of it equals wonderful, happy memories for a lifetime!!!

Hunter

Hunter is growing up so fast. He is almost 3! He loves to be a part of all the action and he loves to help us out with whatever we are doing. And that smile of his is the best!

Taking a moment to relax on a trip to the beach!

During the summer we try to go to the splash pads that are around town...he loved the water rushing to the big drain!

During our recent family reunion, Hunter was using the noodles as light sabers and having fun in the lake.

I surprised him coming down the slide at the park.

Camping in the fall was so much fun...this boy loves to run around where ever he is going. It is hard to get a picture of him that is not blurry.

One of our favorite times with Hunter is dancing in the kitchen. He hears some music and his arms and legs start moving!

Brandt

Brandt had an awesome kindergarten year and we are having a fantastic summer.  Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of Brandt.

Brandt has been on our local dive team this year and he got 2nd place at his last meet.  He has been working hard on his jumps and dives!

Brandt loves the outdoors and nature.  He always likes to find a good stick to use as his walking stick on our hikes.

Brandt is also very creative and loves to paint and draw. He had the most colorful pumpkin around.

Planting our garden = digging in dirt = count Brandt in!

He loves the ocean and the sand.  He likes to dig holes and build sand castles.

Brandt also loves to build. He likes using blocks and legos to make pretty awesome creations.

November 2014 Family Pictures!

We had pictures taken in the fall for the boys birthdays and our annual family pictures.

 Brandt is 6!

 Hunter is 2!

Brandt was being silly and Hunter thought it was so very funny, and his giggles are the cutest! Both boys had us laughing! (And who doesn't love a smooch on the cheek.)
